Become an HD footage supplier at FootageBank HD

FootageBank HD is the world’s first and largest High Definition specialty footage company.  With over 40,000 fully searchable and downloadable clips available on our website, FootageBank HD has become one of the top web destinations for HD footage buyers.  Founder and President Paula Lumbard brings over 20 years of industry experience and has built a reputation for generating solid and consistent revenue for suppliers, and for her fair and just business practices.

Our sales and marketing team conducts daily outreach to prospective clients via personal contact, monthly mailings, and advertising in print and on the web.  FootageBank HD sponsors many trade shows and HD events throughout the year and creates educational opportunities to teach our clients about our HD footage and HD technology in general.  In addition, we maintain international representatives who license our footage around the globe.

FootageBank HD works primarily with two types of content partners: those who have existing HD-mastered moving images that can be re-purposed for the stock footage market; and those who collaborate with us to create HD images for the library based on our needs and your creative choices.

Submitting footage for consideration

FootageBank HD is currently accepting footage mastered in D5, HDCAM and Varicam DVC-Pro 720p.  Submitting your footage for representation consideration is a three-step process:

1) Download and complete the FootageBank HD Supplier Submission Form.

2) Send the completed form, along with a preview of your image submissions on DVD or tape (HDCAM, Beta SP, or DVCAM), to the Acquisitions Department at FootageBank HD.  Please include self addressed, stamped packaging with your submission materials if you would like them back.  FootageBank HD does not return unsolicited DVDs and tapes otherwise.

3) Once your submission is received, a member of the FootageBank HD team will contact you.  We will provide you with a sample representation agreement, discuss your collection and future shooting plans, answer any questions you may have, and explore a content representation plan for your footage.

Managing your footage

When your footage has been selected for representation, an HD master element and accompanying SD clone (Beta SP is preferred) will need to be delivered to FootageBank HD.  Your selected images are then captured and migrated as watermarked clips to our website, and your master is stored at our post facility.

When a clip is licensed and paid for, you will receive a detailed report and royalty payment within 45 days of FootageBank HD’s receipt of payment.  Protecting the rights of your HD library is essential in choosing a footage-licensing agent.  FootageBank HD is well known and respected for the personal and detailed service offered to our suppliers.  We pride ourselves in maintaining a transparent royalty program that allows you to know where, when, and how your images are licensed.

As the world’s premier HD footage house, we at FootageBank HD are extremely proud of our user-friendly technology and accessible staff.  Call or email anytime for more information.  We look forward to hearing from you and seeing the exciting contributions you are making to the new and fantastic world of High Definition media.
