FootageBank HD Signs Exclusive Deal Representing Innovision-Optics Footage
HD Stock Footage Company Takes Technology Lead in Developing Footage with New Camera and Lens Technology

LOS ANGELES, July 27, 2006 -- FootageBank HD, the only footage company specializing in High Definition (HD) content, continues to lead the industry in innovation with today’s announcement of an exclusive agreement with Innovision-Optics, manufacturer and provider of specialized camera equipment to the video and film industries. The agreement gives FootageBank HD exclusive rights to represent custom high speed and macro footage created in HD and shot with two Innovision systems – the Cine SpeedCam and the HD Probe. The Cine Speed technology captures directly to hard drives in fully uncompressed HD.  The HD Probe system, well known for the visual effects shots created for the CSI television show, captures a wide array of motion control macro cinematography. All footage will be available at the FootageBank HD site which utilizes FootageBank HD’s innovative, service-oriented search technology.

“Having started my career in special effects - when both motion control and high speed projects were expensive, as well as   time and labor intensive - it is exciting for me to  work with Mark and his crew to  build a special effects collection in these new formats,” said Paula Lumbard, founder and president of FootageBank HD.  “We are using the most current technologies available and I expect spectacular results.”

Cine SpeedCam
The Cine SpeedCam is a digital high-speed camera system designed for HD cinematography.  It can capture from 1,000 fps at full resolution to 10,000 fps at lower resolutions to a hard drive that is then formatted for output to HD CAM 24p.

HD Probe
InnoVision's tubular lens, the HD Probe, offers superior optics and light transmission for HD video, while the system's unique periscope attachment lets operators shoot from an ultra-low perspective. The Emmy-award winning crime-drama “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” has been employing Innovision’s HD Probe since the show’s inception as is considered the “workhorse of the CSI shot” according to Larry Detwiler, visual effects supervisor for the original show.

The HD Probe features high resolution glass elements and relay optics for images with remarkable edge-to-edge sharpness, flat field and extreme depth of field.

“Companies like the BBC and ESPN have had great success with the CineSpeed Cam and HD Probe. This is the right time to develop a collection of high end visuals that will showcase the beauty and power of HD,” said Mark Centkowski, Innovision-Optics founder and president. “We chose FootageBank HD as a partner because of their great reputation and ability to quickly understand and work with new technologies that will produce the best results for their customers.”
